Sadly you can't change your graphic card on a laptop, that's true. Unless changing computer, there is nothing you can do about it. There are some external solutions available, but very expensive and not working well at all, so you'd better change computer or give up trying to play on this laptop.
I'm very surprised though that you have such a good CPU (P8400 is good for a laptop), and such a bad graphic card, even if I have already seen this in some HP computers.

Sorry to bring bad news.

If you want to stay in "reasonnable" prices, the best GFX card you will find usullay are Nvidia GT230 or 240 (higher number = higher performances), or ATI 4650. I mean for a laptop, if you still want to buy one. With those cards you should be able to play any game, the most power-consuming ones with less good quality (less details, sometimes with smaller screen resolution too). But they should at least work.
If you really want to play a lot, buy a desktop. You will get far better performances for the same price, with bigger screen.
